SEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle Fire Fighters Union, Local 27, has officially endorsed Nate Powell in the race for U.S. Representative in Washington’s 5th Congressional District.
“We have put our name on the line for Nate because we trust he will support public safety and issues important to Seattle Fire Fighters,” wrote Kenny Stuart, President and Political Action Chair of Seattle Fire Fighters Union, Local 27, in the union’s endorsement letter. “The mission of Local 27 is to protect Seattle Fire Fighters and Seattle citizens and we are confident that we can work together to achieve these goals.”
“I’m proud to have the support of Seattle Fire Fighters,” said Powell. “As a firefighter, I know how important it is that we have a representative in Congress who understands what first responders face and will fight for the care, protection, and resources needed to keep us on the job and our communities safe. I will carry these priorities to Congress on behalf of firefighters everywhere.”
Seattle Fire Fighters Union IAFF Local 27 represents the professional firefighters who protect the city of Seattle.
